Kalyani Nivas
The peaceful atmosphere of Kalyani Nivas suddenly stirred when the sound of a car stopping outside the mansion gates echoed through the courtyard.
Almost instantly, everyone inside the house hurried toward the main gate, their hearts filled with anticipation.
Malini ji called out loudly toward the inside of the house.
"Aarti! Where are you? Bring the aarti plate quickly!"
Within moments, Aarti came rushing outside holding the aarti thali carefully in her hands.
Malini ji immediately took the plate from her and walked toward the gate.
Just as Ayaan stepped forward to enter the house, Malini ji gently stopped him at the entrance.
The moment Ayaan's eyes met his mother's, his gaze softened.
A faint layer of moisture gathered in his eyes.
Malini ji's eyes were already wet - tears had long escaped them.
When Ayaan glanced beside her, he saw Kalyani ji, his grandmother, standing there.
She had been staring at her grandson ever since the car arrived, her eyes glowing with pride and love.
Behind her stood Sanju, and beside her was Aarti, while at the far back stood Yash Singhania - his face as stern and unreadable as ever.
Kalyani ji then looked at Malini ji and said impatiently,
"Do the aarti already! My grandson has been standing outside for so long."
A faint smile appeared on Ayaan's face hearing his grandmother.
Malini ji then circled the aarti thali around Ayaan, performing the traditional welcome ritual.
After completing it, she said softly,
"Come inside, my son."
The moment Ayaan stepped inside the house, he bent down and touched Malini ji's feet.
Before she could say anything, he pulled her into a tight embrace.
Malini ji hugged him back, her eyes still wet.
"Live long, my child... stay happy always. Don't you ever miss your mother? Is that why it took you so long to come home?"
Before Ayaan could respond, a cold voice spoke from behind.
"He came only because of his duty. Otherwise, who even knows that someone like him has a family?"
It was Yash Singhania.
He was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through his phone as he spoke.
Ayaan didn't say anything.
As if he had already expected those words.
Just then, another voice spoke firmly.
"If someone truly didn't care about his family, he could easily stay wherever his duty keeps him. But my grandson works harder than anyone."
It was Kalyani ji, walking toward Ayaan with pride in her voice.
Her words instantly brought smiles to everyone's faces.
Ayaan bent down again and touched his grandmother's feet.
Then he hugged her warmly.
"How are you, Dadi?"
Kalyani ji placed her hand on his head lovingly.
"I'm exactly the same as when you left me - perfectly healthy! When your mother is here, nothing can happen to me."
Just then a slightly dramatic voice echoed from the side.
"Bhai! Looks like you completely forgot about me."
It was Sanju, standing there with her arms crossed and lips puffed in fake anger.
Ayaan stepped away from his grandmother and walked toward her.
Placing his hand on her head, he smiled.
"How is my little sister? Your brother just arrived today and you're already angry?"
Then pretending to think, he added,
"Oh... so someone is angry with me. Then the gift I brought for my little sister..."
He turned toward Rohan and said,
"Ro, you keep it then."
That was enough.
Sanju immediately jumped forward and hugged him tightly.
"What! Bhai, you brought a gift for me?"
Ayaan sighed dramatically.
"What's the point? You're angry with me. Ro can keep the gift instead."
Sanju instantly made a teary face.
"No bhai! The gift is mine. You won't give it to that monkey. And I'm not angry with you anymore."
Everyone burst into laughter.
Ayaan pulled her closer and hugged her.
"I know my little sister can never stay angry with me. How is your studies? Is anyone troubling you?"
Sanju straightened proudly.
"Relax bhai! I'm perfectly fine. My studies are going great. And nobody has the courage to trouble Major Ayaan Singhania's sister. And when you weren't here, I had three brothers protecting me."
Everyone laughed again.
Sanju then studied Ayaan's face carefully and grinned.
"By the way bhai... you've become even more handsome. What's the matter? Looks like we finally have a future bhabhi."
Ayaan immediately smacked her lightly on the head.
Before she could complain, Tej suddenly spoke dramatically.
"Hello! We are standing here too. Someone pay attention to us as well."
Malini ji chuckled.
"Yes yes, children. Sit down. I'll bring something to eat. And Ayaan, go freshen up. You must be tired."
With that she walked toward the kitchen.
Kalyani ji quietly signaled Ayaan toward Yash ji, who was still looking at his phone.
Understanding her gesture, Ayaan walked toward him.
He knelt down and touched his father's feet.
For a brief moment, Yash ji's eyes trembled with emotion, almost ready to overflow.
But he controlled himself.
He simply placed his hand on Ayaan's head.
Ayaan closed his eyes.
After a moment, Yash ji lightly patted his shoulder and silently walked toward his room.
Ayaan remained sitting there, watching his father walk away.
Malini ji returned from the kitchen and saw him still standing there.
"What happened? You still haven't gone to freshen up?"
"Yes, Mom."
Ayaan replied softly and walked toward his room.
Malini ji then turned toward Tej and Ronit.
"Come children, you should eat something too."
Ronit smiled politely.
"Aunty, we'll eat in Ayaan's room. We also need to talk to him before we leave for duty."
Malini ji nodded.
"Alright, go to his room. I'll send the food there."
The two friends then walked upstairs toward Ayaan's room.
When they entered, they noticed the bathroom door closed.
Tej immediately threw himself dramatically onto the bed.
Ronit punched his stomach.
"Oi, son of Kumbhkaran! Get up. We didn't come here to sleep. Help arrange Ayaan's stuff."
Tej turned his face away lazily.
"Do it yourself, man. I'm not doing anything."
Ronit kicked him.
Tej fell off the bed with a thud.
He instantly began screaming dramatically.
"Ahh! My back is broken! I'll never walk again!"
Ronit glared.
"Stop your drama. I know nothing happened."
At that moment the bathroom door opened.
Ayaan stepped out.
"Can't you two stay peaceful anywhere?"
Tej instantly ran toward him and clung to him.
"My lion... look what he did. He broke my back."
Ayaan shook his head.
Just then someone knocked on the door.
Ronit opened it.
Sanju stood there holding a food tray.
She placed it on the table.
"Here bhai, eat your food."
Ayaan smiled.
"Why did you bother? We could've come downstairs."
Sanju replied,
"Mom said you should eat here with your friends. I'll come later to collect my gift."
Ayaan patted her head.
"Alright, go."
As soon as she left, Tej opened the food containers and began sniffing the aroma dramatically.
Ronit shook his head.
Soon the three friends began eating.
After finishing their meal, Ayaan rested his head on Ronit's lap.
Ronit asked softly,
"What happened Ayaan? Everything okay?"
Ayaan kept his eyes closed.
"Yes... just thinking about duty."
Tej suddenly smirked.
"Don't tell me our lion found a girl in Kashmir."
Ronit instantly got excited.
"Really?"
Ayaan sat up.
"I haven't met any girl yet who is my equal."
Tej laughed.
"Then you'll remain single forever."
Ronit asked,
"When are you joining duty again?"
"After four days."
Ronit nodded.
"Good. Spend time with your family till then. We should leave."
He turned to Tej.
"Come on, let's go back to base."
Tej hugged Ayaan.
"Man... I don't feel like leaving."
Suddenly he felt a cold glare.
He looked up.
Ayaan was staring at him.
Tej immediately jumped away.
"Alright bhai I'm going! Don't glare at me like that."
He ran out of the room.
Ronit sighed.
"He'll never change."
He hugged Ayaan.
"Take care. I'll be waiting."
He left too.
But seconds later, Tej came running back again, hugged Ayaan tightly and shouted,
"Bye, our babbar sher!"
Then he ran away again.
And finally, Ayaan burst out laughing.

A few days passed like this, and Ayaan had also joined his duty in Manali. Life in the Singhania house slowly returned to its usual rhythm.
One morning, the soft golden sunlight slipped through the curtains of Ayaan's room.
After taking a bath and getting ready, Ayaan wore his neatly pressed uniform, adjusting the collar as he looked at himself in the mirror for a moment before stepping out of his room.
When he came downstairs, he saw Yash ji sitting comfortably on the sofa, deeply absorbed in the morning newspaper.
The quiet atmosphere of the house was peaceful.
Just then Malini ji came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands with a towel. The moment she saw Ayaan heading toward the door, she frowned slightly.
"Beta, where are you going? At least have breakfast first."
Ayaan walked toward her with a faint smile.
"Mom, I have to report early today."
Then he glanced around the living room, slightly confused.
"And where is Sanju? I can't see her. Isn't she awake yet? She'll be late for college."
Before Malini could answer, a playful voice echoed from behind him.
"Oh come on, bhaiya! I'm already awake. Do you think I'm a disciple of Kumbhkaran?"
Before Ayaan could even turn around, Sanju ran toward him and hugged him tightly.
Ayaan chuckled softly and placed his hand on her head, gently stroking her hair.
"So my little one finally woke up?"
Sanju nodded proudly.
"Yes, bhaiya."
Ayaan smiled and then looked around again.
"By the way, I don't see grandma anywhere."
Malini ji replied calmly,
"Your grandmother has gone to the temple. She'll be back soon."
Ayaan nodded thoughtfully.
"Alright Mom, I'm leaving."
Then he looked at Sanju seriously, his protective elder-brother side showing.
"If you face any problem, just give me a call."
Sanju nodded innocently and gave a small salute.
"Yes, bhai."
Ayaan smiled faintly before leaving the house.
Soon after, Sanju finished her breakfast and left for college as well.
---
Evening
The sun had already begun to set when Sanju finished her classes.
On her way home, she stopped to drop her friend Tina at her house because Tina had suddenly fallen sick during the day.
Tina's house was located in a quiet, isolated area, far away from the busy streets.
After making sure Tina was safely inside her house, Sanju waved goodbye and began walking back.
The road was eerily silent.
A cold evening breeze rustled the trees around her.
Sanju wrapped her arms around herself and started walking faster.
After walking for a while, she finally reached the main road.
But even there, it was unusually quiet.
She stood near the roadside, looking around for a taxi or auto.
Sighing impatiently, she muttered to herself,
"When will I get a taxi? Mom keeps calling and it's getting late. And there's nothing around here."
Just then two bikes zoomed past her.
Four boys were riding them.
Their loud laughter echoed on the empty road.
As they passed, one of the boys suddenly looked back.
His eyes locked onto Sanju.
A crooked smile appeared on his face.
"Bro, stop the bike quickly."
Both bikes stopped a little distance away.
Another boy frowned.
"What happened?"
The first boy grinned and jerked his head backward.
"Bro, just look behind... what a gorgeous girl standing there... and she's all alone."
The other boys turned around.
The moment they saw Sanju standing by herself, their expressions turned shameless.
One of them smirked.
"Looks like tonight is going to be very exciting."
All four of them burst into laughter.
Then they turned their bikes around and started heading straight toward Sanju.
Sanju had already noticed their behavior.
A wave of fear ran down her spine.
Her heart started pounding loudly.
She quickly pulled out her phone.
Her hands were trembling so badly that she could barely hold it.
"Please work..." she whispered nervously.
She tried calling her father.
But suddenly-
Her phone switched off.
Sanju stared at the black screen in disbelief.
"No... not now..."
She tried turning it on again and again, but it didn't work.
By then the boys had already reached her.
They stopped their bikes around her and slowly got down.
Sanju immediately started walking faster.
But the boys followed her.
One of them suddenly ran ahead and stood right in front of her, blocking her path.
Sanju stepped back nervously.
The boy smirked and looked her up and down shamelessly.
"Madam, it seems you still haven't found a taxi. Come with us... we'll drop you... and enjoy the ride too."
The other boys surrounded her from behind.
Sanju's eyes filled with tears.
Her voice trembled.
"No bhaiya... I will go by myself... please let me go."
Another boy laughed loudly.
"Oh now that you called us bhaiya... we definitely have to drop you."
He grabbed her wrist roughly and pulled her toward him.
Anger flashed in Sanju's eyes.
Without thinking, she slapped him hard.
The sound echoed on the empty road.
For a moment, everyone froze.
Then another boy grabbed Sanju by her hair.
"How dare you slap my friend? Now see what I do to you."
He slapped her brutally.
Sanju lost her balance and fell to the ground.
Her glasses slipped from her face and shattered.
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
One boy held her legs while another grabbed her hands.
Another tore the sleeves of her top.
Sanju cried helplessly.
"Please bhaiya... let me go... I beg you..."
But the boys only laughed.
Sanju screamed desperately.
"Help! Somebody help!"
One of the boys slowly moved his hand toward her chest.
But suddenly-
THUD!
Two boys were suddenly thrown away violently.
They rolled across the road in pain.
Everyone looked up in shock.
A motorcycle stood in front of them, its engine still roaring.
The bike had rammed into them.
A person was sitting on it.
Dressed completely in black.
Helmet covering the face.
Black gloves on the hands.
The mysterious rider sat silently on the bike, staring at Sanju.
One of the boys angrily pulled out a knife.
He walked toward the biker threateningly.
"Kyu be? Jyada hero giri chad rhi hai tere ko?"
(Hey you! Feeling like a big hero, huh?)
Sanju looked toward the mysterious rider with tear-filled eyes.
Her voice trembled as she pleaded,
"Please save me..."
The rider slowly stepped down from the bike.
Calm.
Fearless.
Then the person removed the helmet and placed it on the bike.
And in the next moment-
Long black hair fell freely down to the waist, flowing with the wind.
The boys stared in complete shock.
Because the mysterious biker...
was a girl.
The moment the boys realized that the mysterious biker was a girl, their lust only grew stronger.
Under the dim evening light, she looked dangerously beautiful.
Her long black hair flowed down her back, moving slightly with the cool night breeze. She was wearing a long black coat, and inside it a high-neck black top.
But none of the boys noticed her eyes.
Eyes that had turned deep red with rage.
They burned like fire.
She didn't even spare the boys a glance.
Instead, she walked straight toward Sanju, who was still lying on the ground, trembling uncontrollably and crying helplessly.
The girl immediately knelt beside her.
Sanju's body was shaking so badly that she could barely breathe properly.
Without saying anything, the girl removed her black coat and gently helped Sanju stand up.
Then she wrapped the coat around her shoulders and pulled her into a protective hug.
Sanju clutched her tightly and cried.
"Please... save me..."
The girl didn't say anything immediately.
She simply placed one hand on Sanju's head, gently comforting her.
But the boys behind them laughed shamelessly.
One of them spoke with a wicked grin.
"Bhai lagta hai aaj ki raat do do khubsurat chiz ke sath guzregi. Lekin sabse pehle iske maze mai lunga. "
(Bro, looks like tonight we got two beautiful prizes... but I'll enjoy this one first.)
Hearing this, Sanju held the girl even tighter.
The boy started walking toward them.
He stretched his hand forward to grab her.
But before his hand could even touch her-
Without even turning her head, the girl grabbed his wrist.
And twisted it.
CRACK!
A horrifying sound echoed in the silent road.
The boy screamed loudly.
It was clear that the bone in his arm had snapped.
He dropped to the ground immediately, clutching his arm and screaming in unbearable pain.
Sanju heard the scream and slowly lifted her head from the girl's shoulder.
But before she could even understand what had happened-
The girl suddenly kicked the boy in the stomach.
The kick was so powerful that the boy slid across the road and crashed into a tree.
Everyone froze in shock.
Even Sanju stared at the girl in disbelief.
Where did she get such strength from?
The girl calmly helped Sanju sit on a nearby rock.
Then she pulled out a phone from her pocket and quickly sent a message to someone.
After that she kept the phone back in her pocket.
She gently held Sanju's face in her hands and said in a calm, cold voice,
"Stay right here... okay? I'll deal with them."
Sanju nodded slowly with tear-filled eyes and wrapped the coat tightly around herself.
One of the boys shouted angrily at the girl.
"Ye tujhe bahut mehenga padega kamini! Tera woh haal karunga ki Tu kisi ko muh dikhane layak nhi bachegi! "
(You'll pay dearly for this! I'll ruin you so badly that you won't be able to show your face to anyone!)
Hearing that, the girl's eyes turned even darker with fury.
For a brief second, she almost reached behind her back-
Where a gun was hidden.
She could have ended everything in one moment.
But then her gaze fell on Sanju, who was still trembling in fear.
If Sanju saw the gun, she would panic even more.
So the girl slowly lowered her hand.
They weren't worth the bullet anyway.
One of the boys ran toward her, raising his hand to attack.
But before he could even touch her-
The girl lifted her leg and kicked him straight in the face.
The impact was brutal.
His jaw shook violently and two of his teeth flew out.
He collapsed onto the ground.
But the girl wasn't finished.
She grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up like he weighed nothing.
Forcing him to look directly into her eyes.
The moment the boy looked into her eyes-
His entire body started trembling.
He was so terrified that he wet his pants.
Her eyes were glowing red with rage, as if blood itself would start flowing out of them.
Deep wrinkles had formed on her forehead, revealing just how furious she truly was.
The next moment-
She started punching him.
Fast.
Brutal.
Relentless.
Her fists moved so quickly that they were almost impossible to follow.
Within seconds she must have thrown hundreds of punches.
His face became completely unrecognizable.
Blood poured from his nose and mouth.
It looked as if his nose had completely collapsed.
Even the other two boys who were standing there froze in fear.
They were shaking uncontrollably.
Finally, the girl stopped.
She dropped him to the ground.
His face was so badly damaged that it was horrifying to look at.
The flesh of his cheek was literally hanging.
Anyone looking at him would feel sick.
The girl slowly turned her blood-red eyes toward the remaining two boys.
Their hearts nearly stopped.
A few moments later-
They were lying on the ground as well.
Half unconscious.
Broken.
After finishing with them, the girl walked back toward Sanju.
On the way she noticed something on the road.
A bag.
A pair of broken glasses.
And a phone.
She immediately understood that they belonged to Sanju.
She picked them up and walked back to her.
But when she sat beside her, she noticed something.
Sanju was still trembling.
And now...
She looked afraid of her.
After seeing the brutal beating, Sanju had become scared of the girl as well.
The girl looked up at the sky and took a deep breath.
Then she gently hugged Sanju again and stroked her hair.
Slowly... Sanju started calming down.
But suddenly Sanju grabbed her tightly and started crying again.
"Thank you... you saved me... if you hadn't come, they would have..."
She broke down crying.
The girl spoke softly.
"Everything is fine... nothing happened."
Then she opened Sanju's bag and took out a water bottle.
"Drink some water."
Sanju drank the water slowly.
After a moment, the girl asked gently,
"What's your name?"
Sanju wiped her tears and replied,
"My name is Sanjana... but you can call me Sanju."
After that, the girl didn't ask anything else.
She simply sat beside her quietly.
A few minutes later, the sound of a scooter and a police jeep approached.
Several police officers stepped out of the jeep.
A girl sitting on the scooter walked straight toward the mysterious girl.
She asked quickly,
"Is everything alright?"
The girl stood up calmly.
She only said one thing.
"Take her home safely."
Then she turned to leave.
But suddenly-
Sanju grabbed her hand.
"Where... where are you going?"
The girl looked at her hand, then at Sanju's frightened face.
She gently held Sanju's cheeks.
"Look... they won't hurt you."
Then she pointed at the other girl.
"She's my friend... she'll take you home."
Then she pointed at the police officers.
"And these police officers will take those bad boys away... so they can never trouble you again."
Sanju hesitated.
"But... you take me home..."
The girl shook her head.
"I have somewhere very important to be... someone's life depends on it."
She smiled faintly.
"You trust me, right?"
Sanju slowly nodded.
The second girl spoke kindly.
"Don't worry... I'll take you home safely."
Sanju hugged the mysterious girl one last time.
The girl simply patted her head gently.
Sanju took her bag and phone and left with the second girl on the scooter.
The police officers loaded the four injured boys into the jeep and drove away.
Soon the road became silent again.
The girl walked toward her bike.
Only then did she notice her hands.
They were covered in blood.
No one had noticed earlier because night had already fallen.
She leaned against her bike for a moment.
And remembered what had happened earlier.
When she had been riding through this road at full speed-
Because she was in a hurry to reach somewhere.
Her bike was racing down the empty road.
Then suddenly-
She heard a faint scream.
"Help..."
She slammed the brakes so hard that the rear tire lifted into the air.
Then she turned her bike and followed the sound.
And that's when she saw them.
Two boys standing.
Two sitting.
And in the middle-
A girl struggling desperately.
She didn't need more than a second to understand what was happening.
So she accelerated her bike straight toward them.
And sent two boys flying.
The girl came back to the present.
She put her helmet back on.
Started her bike.
And disappeared into the night at full speed.
To be continued...
